Founder Story — Laura Redwine, M.S., CCC/SLP, Founder & CEO of ScrybeX. Laura didn't start in tech, she started at the bedside. A graduate of Baylor University, where she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Laura built her career as a speech-language pathologist with a deep commitment to patient care. Over the next 30+ years, she worked across healthcare settings, eventually becoming the owner and operator of a Medicare-certified home health agency. She wasn't just treating patients — she was running a business, managing clinicians, navigating compliance, and living the reality of healthcare documentation from every angle. And one problem never went away: Documentation. Late nights. Weekend charting. Clinicians burned out not from patient care, but from paperwork. Laura saw highly skilled providers spending more time behind screens than with the people they were trained to help. She experienced it herself, and she watched it happen to teams she led. So she built ScrybeX. Not as a concept. But as a solution.
