How to delete your account

From within the app (fastest)

1. Open ScrybeX and sign in.
2. Tap the profile icon, then open Profile.
3. Tap "Delete account" and confirm with your password. Your account is closed immediately.

If you can't access the app

Email support@scrybeapp.com from the email address associated with your ScrybeX account, with the subject "Account Deletion Request." We'll verify your identity and process the request. We may ask you to confirm details before deleting, to protect against unauthorized requests.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove:

• Your account profile and login credentials (name, email, password).
• Your biometric-unlock settings and session data.
• Personal settings and preferences tied to your account.

What is retained, and why

ScrybeX handles Protected Health Information (PHI) on behalf of healthcare providers under a Business Associate Agreement (BAA). Because of this, some data cannot be deleted on request and is retained to comply with the law:

• Clinical documentation and patient records you created may be retained by your organization (the covered entity) and by ScrybeX as required by HIPAA and applicable federal/state medical-record retention laws. These records belong to the healthcare provider, not to an individual user account, so closing your account does not delete them.
• Audit logs of access to PHI are retained for the period required by HIPAA.
• Billing and transaction records are retained as required by law.

Retained data is kept only as long as legally required, secured under the same safeguards as all PHI, and is not used for any other purpose.

Timeline

Account closure takes effect immediately. Data eligible for deletion is removed within 30 days of your request, except for records we are legally required to retain (above), which are deleted at the end of their required retention period.
